Keyboarding Level 1
Typetastic Keyboard Builder
Students will be introduced to basic keyboard placement and beginning typing practice with a very colorful and amusing Red Panda! The goal at this level is to become comfortable with proper keyboard hand placement on the home keys. This will be introduced in the computer lab to our First and Second grade students, practice at home is encouraged.

Third and Fourth Grade

This month our terrific third graders are working on their word processing skills using Google Docs. Later in the month we will begin our new adventure in Scratch Programming. Students will also use online software to engage in enrichment activities related to age appropriate curriculum.
Fifth Grade

Fifth Grade students will begin to develop graphic art skills using a free software called paint.net. Using this tool they will edit photos, create custom artwork for their websites, and explore digital creativity.
Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Grade

Students are learning about digital citizenship and safety using Common Sense Media's Digital Compass Program and lessons. We will be taking these concepts and using them to create digital children's books to help our younger students learn about their own digital citizenship and online safety.
